DJI Phantom 2 - New Version

The DJI Phantom 2 v2 was purchased to replace the DJI Flamewheel F550 hexcopter which I had for a few years prior that was a good craft but lacked flight time. I wanted something with the same programming that I was used too, more flight time and even better flying capabilites. I looked at a good few options but nothing seemed to come close to the Phantom in terms of performance, however I do hate the fact that every media outlet around the world uses the image of the Phantom for news stories which means it's clearly reconisable to everyone and does kind of have that toy look. In the right hands its a very capable machine.

Under the skin its basically an upgrades Naza controller which isn't a bad thing at all, with all the units DJI sold it means all of the original problems should be ironed out. Back in the early days of the Naza controller there were a lot of reports of random twitches or ghost like behavour. I've been using DJI for a number of years and haven't had to much problems, at present the Phantom is out of order due to a strange crash but hopefully be back in the air soon once I get some spares for it. With it in need of repair I decided to take the cover off and show you all what it looks like inside.
