CityView Business Park, Tullos, Aberdeen - 15th March 2026
These offices have been in the news a good few times over the last few days due to a recent submission to Aberdeen City Council Planning for demolition permission.
Built on the former Evans Halshaw Renault forecourt which closed in 2009, these £40m modern offices were built between 2012 and 2016 offering at the time a booming Aberdeen City with
additional prime location office space due to shortages at the time.
Although long standing lease agreements were made soon after there construction a number of factors limited there full utilisation including oil downturn, covid and a shift in how
companies operated meant that it was short lived.
With Covid introducing home working and technology moving fast with the likes of Microsoft Teams and Cloud based servers meant that there was no longer in most cases the need for huge
office blocks house 100s of people.
As recently reported the complex has sat vacant for a “significant period of time” with the new owner claiming there is an “oversupply” of office accommodations in the Granite City
which is clear from the other recent demolitions.
They went on to say "Replacement tenants are unlikely to be found in the short to medium term, and the ongoing security, rates and energy requirements are fiscally and environmentally
unsustainable"
Documents submitted by new owners Parks of Hamilton a coach company mention that the total cost of the demolition works is estimated to be between £700,000 to £800,000.
