Ferryhill Primary School - Aberdeen City Centre - February 2026
Ferryhill Primary School opened in August 1877 as one of the first five schools established by the new Aberdeen School Board that formed 4 years prior.
With around 400 pupils and 40 nursery children the school has served the local community for over 145 years. The School has undergone significant renovations throughout its history
including the addition of a separate annexe in 1935.
Fast forward to today the school again is going through a substantial upgrade to ensure it’s suitable for generations to come with more modern facilities. Current pupils have been
temporary moved to Torry to allow the partial demolition works to be carried out safely so that an area is cleared for new structures.
It is expected that by Autumn 2026 all works will be completed.
