The new £124 million Hazlehead Academy Campus in Aberdeen is officially underway with preparation works started in November 2025 with the demolition of the janitors building and the
swimming pool which was mothballed in late 2016.
The new 1,600 pupil campus is being built on the playing fields of the existing school which will operate as normal and not be effected.
This four story modern facility will feature advanced educational spaces, two full sized all weather pitches, and a new eco-friendly energy centre. It is expected to open in late
2028, early 2029 and be a more "Future Ready" building.
A new expanded catchment area is also to be developed which is expected to include Countesswells and Kingswells.
Am exciting to see how this develops of the new few years of construction.
